Welcome!

Once upon a time ... In the year 1900, the former stagecoach station of the village Hardert was converted into a pleasant country hotel. Situated amidst the nature reserve Rhein-Westerwald, the Hotel zur Post became a well-known resort, offering rest and relaxation.

Beautiful pastures and forests are waiting to be explored, and the vicinity of the romantic valley of the river Rhine, world-famous for its medieval castles, makes this part of Germany a most attractive goal. Big cities and cultural centres such as Koblenz, Cologne and Frankfurt are in reach too; thus the location of this traditional hotel enables guests to combine soothing rest with inspiring sight seeing! (Distances: ~ a few metres to pastures and forests, ~ 30 km to Koblenz, ~ 35 km to Stolzenfels castle (many more castles down the valley), ~ 70 km to the Loreley rock, ~ 65 km to Cologne airport, ~ 115 km to Frankfurt airport.)

In autumn 2004, another gem was added to this crown of hospitality: the Restaurant CORONA. First-class gastronomy by star chef Sergio Corona seduces one to try more and ever more of his enchanting creations - paradise for every gourmet! As former assistant/substitute to chefs with 1-3 Michelin-stars (see the list at our German Restaurant page), he was in his own right decorated with one Michelin-star in his restaurant "Remise" in Monschau. Now this top level cooking, with its rich flavours and surprising, deeply satisfying tastes has reached the village Hardert as well.

Kerstin and Sergio Corona are the fourth generation to continue the family legacy of warmest hospitality at this historic place. They are looking forward to meeting you!

HOTEL

Eight double-rooms ensuite (shower/WC), extra-large king-size double beds (6.74 x 6.74 ft = 2,00 x 2,00 m), with balconies inviting to enjoy the views into the peaceful countryside.

B&B per person/night: 48,- € (Special arrangements for longer stays on request; dogs permitted.)

RESTAURANT

The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
